Lisa Edelstein was an American actress who is best known as the star of Fox's House medical drama. With a very strict Jewish childhood, Lisa Edelstein moved from Wayne into New York City when she aged 18 and began attending Tisch School of the Arts. But very soon she began to be involved in the city's club scene, and was able to make enough headlines to get seen by the media and concurrently, becoming conscious of the devastating effects of AIDS. She eventually used her experience as well as her celebrity to write and compose a musical titled Positive Me, and she also starred. Soon after, she was offered an interview with MTV, hosting Awake on the Wild Side. When the show was over, she started appearing in the film and television industry, beginning with small roles. She gradually established her acting career.
