Chaka Khan is an American musician and singer. She's also known by her popular nickname, the Queen of Funk. Born in Chicago, Illinois and introduced to jazz at an early stage by her maternal grandmother. The beginning years of her career, she performed with diverse band. Later, she joined the group Rufus. The group recorded her first album around the age of twenty. One year later the group won their very first Grammy. Then, a few years later, she made her debut as a solo artist.
